Step Code and new home construction

Step-Code-graph

We have completed over 300+ projects throughout Lower Mainland & Fraser Valley.  For Step Code compliance we work in tandem with you: the homeowner/builder, the architect/designer and aim to provide Energy advising design Abbotsford that best suits your preferences while meeting the energy efficiency target in a cost-effective way.

Before the project begins, let us help you decide what is best for your next build!

What is Step Code?

The BC Energy Step Code is a standard introduced as part of the BC Building Code (BCBC) in April 2017 that sets higher requirements for energy efficiency than in the base BC Building Code. Local governments have implemented the BC Energy Step Code in their communities. Ranging from Step 1 – Step 5, Step code has been implemented throughout most of Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley. Remaining municipalities are also on course to implement Step Code very soon. Learn more about the BC Energy Step Code and local government implementation efforts.

Canada Greener Home Grant & CleanBC Better Homes Retrofit assessments

With the new Greener homes grant,  Up to 700,000 grants of up to $5,000 have been introduced to help homeowners make energy efficient retrofits to their homes.

Grants for EnerGuide evaluations (worth up to $600) have also been introduced.

We are program qualified with Clean BC. Energy assessments are conducted for existing homes before renovation. Based on the assessment we recommend energy upgrades which are best suited for the client and maximize the rebates available.
